Project Solution

Core Environmental Projects (Core-EP) were engaged to design and supervise the construction of a waterproofing and vapour mitigation system for the construction of a multi-level basement located directly above significant chlorinated hydrocarbon (tetrachloroethylene, PCE) contamination .

Central to our strategy was understanding of client objectives, budget and project-specific requirements to ensure the desired outcomes were clearly articulated in design documentation, including the degree of water ‘tightness’ required not just from the perspective of protection of human health perspective but also the aesthetics for the end user. Core-EP prepared a concept, verified material performance and then completed a detailed design for tender.

Core-EP was subsequently engaged to supervise and complete construction quality assurance during the construction of the waterproofing and vapour mitigation system to independently demonstrate the protection system had been installed as intended and facilitate endorsement by the appointed EPA Auditor.
