Ground Gas Risk Assessment

Core-EP was engaged to reassess ground gas risks at a former industrial site in Seddon earmarked for mixed-use redevelopment. Targeted investigations, monitoring and vapour modelling demonstrated that risks at the site were substantially lower than previously assessed. The findings allowed vapour mitigation measures to be significantly reduced or eliminated for key buildings on the site, removing unnecessary construction costs while maintaining compliance and occupant safety. The result was that risk-based design optimisation reduced mitigation costs and supported improved redevelopment outcomes for the site.
