Biogas Treatment Upgrades, Monitoring and Maintenance, Data Management and Reporting
Core Environmental Projects (Core-EP) were engaged to investigate the existing gas management infrastructure and make improvements towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions with the overall goal to generate Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCU’s) under the Carbon Farming (Destruction of Methane Generated from Manure in Piggeries) Methodology Determination 2012.
The works involved replacing the ignition componentry and upgrading the telemetry on the existing biogas flaring unit to enable the remote monitoring of combustion levels through temperature readings, thereby determining carbon abatement and allowing for the accumulation of ACCU’s.
