Ecoforum News 2019 – Technical Training

James Lucas and Steve Wilson were invited to contribute to a vapour intrusion workshop at this year’s ALGA Ecoforum held in Auckland.

The workshop, led by Dane Egelton and Kristian Hansen, looked at the various approaches for measuring vapour and gas in the ground and in buildings; it considered the similarities and differences in approaches to vapour intrusion and landfill gas assessment.

Discussions identified where the approach used in vapour intrusion may be useful in landfill gas assessment and vice versa. Areas were identified where care is required using vapour intrusion investigation methods for landfill gas assessments.
