The Project
Core Environmental Projects provided landfill gas risk assessment and value engineering advice for a large commercial development proposed within a landfill buffer zone in rural NSW, including a detailed review of all existing site assessment reporting and the use our in-house quantitative landfill gas migration model.
By utilising our multi-disciplinary approach, Core Environmental Projects successfully demonstrated that no landfill gas mitigation measures were required, while ensuring human health and environmental receptors were protected.
Overall this resulted in cost-savings for the client in the order of $300,000, while addressing concerns of the local council and regulator.
